Résumé

Une brebis de 7 ans a été présentée au CHUV-Animaux de production de l’Ecole nationale vétérinaire d’Alfort pour une boiterie du membre postérieur gauche sans appui, apparue après une chute. Le raccourcissement du membre postérieur gauche, observé en décubitus latéral, a conduit à la suspicion d’une luxation crânio-ventrale de l’articulation de la hanche gauche, confirmée par radiographie. La brebis a été traitée avec succès par une exérèse de la tête et du col du fémur gauche.

Abstract

A 7-year-old ewe was presented to the National School of Veterinary Medicine of Alfort with post-traumatic lameness of left hind limb without support. The shortening of the left pelvic limb on lateral decubitus led to suspicion of cranioventral coxofemoral dislocation of the left hip joint which was confirmed by radiography. The patient was successfully treated with a femoral head osteotomy of the left hind pelvic limb.
